A cold and wet Sunday morning- perfect for the shoot. We found a prairie field nestled in the rolling hills and took a few pictures as low dark clouds rolled by. There was no need to give directions. Jaimie and Chris held each other. It was like I wasn't there. A really cool moment.

Photoshop is pretty amazing- Photoshop CS 5 is out of this world amazing.
I am going to share one new feature - Content Aware- which is like seeing a ghost- It is just weird what it can do and do so well.
What it basically does is replace in near perfect form items you want top get rid of- be it a tree, house, or wrinkles. This has always been tricky because of the smudging effect you can get- but Content Aware does some pretty amazing math techno something to remove what you don't want in a near perfect way.
The application of this video is for retouching portraits which is right up my alley. This can be a really tricky part of the editing workflow- not anymore!

If you are not using Lightroom for your editing process then you need your head examined! If you have Lightroom and you have not downloaded the adjustment brushes YOU NEED YOUR HEAD EXAMINED.
I love these brushes! I'll say it again- I love these brushes.
I came across brushes to whiten teeth, brighten eyes, and Iris Enhance, AND redden lips gently. And they are free.
The brushes are located in the top right corner.
I am going to say that again- FREE.
Lightroomkillertips provides them.
They are amazingly simple to use and can impact portraits in a huge way.
I used to always do the eye toughing in CS5 with layers. It was great! But it slowed down the workflow.
With Lightroom, these adjustments are simple and quick and stellar looking.
Give them a try. I know you will love them.
